Vineyard & Winery

Rock of Eye is rooted in Stellenbosch, working with a small number of vineyards and a focused range. The wines are built on long-standing relationships with growers who understand their sites — Nico Walters on Simonsberg, Deon Joubert in the Polkadraai Hills, Bevan Zetler on the Helderberg, and Pieter Bredell for Cinsault.

The work begins in the vineyard. Decisions are made there, with trust in the farming and a clear understanding of what each site can deliver.

In the cellar, the same approach continues. Fermentations are mostly spontaneous, with minimal intervention. Concrete is used to preserve fruit and tension, while oak is introduced where structure and integration are required.

The wines reflect their vineyards, with consistency across vintages and the ability to age.
